Began the C.J. Watson’s Black History Essay Contest; since inception the QSF has had over 6000 participants, 30 Winners (who were awarded with a Recognition Luncheon, Presented with Certificates of Achievement, Gift Bag with Incentives from Local Sponsors, Airfare for Winner and 1 Parent, Meet and Greet with C.J. Watson and Tickets to an NBA Game) and sponsored 12 schools in various states such as Las Vegas, NV, Oakland, CA, Chicago, IL and Indianapolis, IN.
Implemented the Youth Advisory Council. Creating a platform for youth to develop leadership skills, life skills, community involvement and academic excellence.
Created Hoops for Hope; since inception the committee has served 2600 kids and 866 parents in the Las Vegas Community with the support of 2340 Volunteers, Public Officials, Media and 14 Sponsorships.
Developed and Implemented a Parental Workshop with the primary focus of encouraging and motivating parents to provide positive parenting to their children. This has become an Annual event that has supported over 866 parents in the Las Vegas Community.
